Akron, Roy-Hart and Barker romp to N-O Field Hockey victories

High scoring shutout wins were the order of the day this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League field hockey competition as Akron downed Medina 9-0, Roy-Hart bested Newfane 13-0 and Barker topped Wilson 12-0.

Lacey Berghorn scored 4 goals and Madison Brege 2 to lead the way for Akron as Olivia McClaine, Alexandra Roland and Isabella Leiker each chipped in with one.

Cheyenne Stilwell netted 5 goals and Justine Laverty 3 to set the pace for Roy-Hart as Brooke Zglinicki, Jessica VanKuren, Alayna Kowalski, Abby Glyshaw and Samantha Sperduti each had one.

Seven players found the net for Barker as Alexa Zglinicki scored 3, Mia Herman, Alexis Weeks and Rachel Sutter 2 each and Mia Goodale, Macie May and Addison Szafranski 1 each.
