Akron posts lacrosse win over Medina

Front-running Akron bested Medina 20-4 at Vets Park this evening to stay perfect at 5-0 in Class D Division lacrosse action.

Akron built up a 10-4 lead at the half as Braley Abrams had 5 goals, Travis Fry 3 and Nicholas Fry 2 during that stretch.

The Tigers then broke the contest wide open by outscoring the Mustangs 7-0 in the third quarter to take a commanding 17-4 lead. Travis Fry netted 3 and Abrams 2 in the stanza.

Zaric Boyce and Cayden Lilleby both scored a pair of goals for Medina in the first half.

Medina next hosts Lockport in a non league game at 5 p.m. Friday.
