Akron netters down Medina; Barker wins
Finishing at 12-0, Akron capped off a fourth straight Niagara-Orleans League tennis championship season with a 5-0 win over Medina this afternoon.
Will Chubb, Caleb Suckow and Whitley Koopman all scored singles wins for Akron.
The Tigers also got victories from the doubles teams of Sean Brennan – Sean OShaughnessy and Emma Corbett – Isaac Cerasani.
Barker improved to 7-4 with a 5-0 win over Newfane (4-6).
Nathan Meza Ray, Matthew Ryan and Willard Nellist all scored singles victories for Barker.
The Raiders also had the duos of Cameron Kiner – Aidan Mescall amd Kevin Hadsell – Levi Hauser score doubles wins.
Kendall 5, Attica 0
Kendall blanked Attica 5-0 to improve to 5-2 in Genesee Region League action.
Devin Edick, Tobias Passer and Joshua Esposito scored singles wins for Kendall.
The Eagles also got doubles wins from the teams of Steven Strapp – Gabriel Preston and Jonathan Esposito – Lucas Jones.
