Akron grapplers down Medina
Akron bested visiting Medina 56-21 this evening in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League wrestling match,
Colby Petrie had a pin and Elijah Sones and Cody Crane decision wins for Medina.
In the other N-O openers, defending champion Newfane downed Albion 72-12 and Wilson topped Roy-Hart/Barker 54-28.
Preston Flugel and Ben Restivo both notched pins for Albion which gave up 30 points on five forfeits.
Tom Alvord, AJ Schafer and Tyler Choate all registered pins for Roy-Hart/Barker which also gave up 30 points on five forfeits. Carson Grover, Ben Schwab and Brett Ricker each had decision wins.
