Akron girls top Albion; Roy-Hart romps

A six run third inning keyed defending champion Akron to a 10-5 win over host Albion this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game.

Shaylie Carberry  had a single and double and Helena Hill two hits to lead the offense for Akron.

Isabella Prest and Natalie DiCureia both had a pair of hits for Albion.

Akron is 1-0 and Albion 0-2 in N-O action.

Roy-Hart used a big 10 run third inning scoring burst to break away from a tight 4-2 game and key a 27-7 victory over visiting Barker.

Kayla Brown had a three-run triple to highlight that uprising which also saw the Lady Rams benefit from a total of 8 walks.

Winning pitcher Lexie Lovewell had 4 hits on the day, including a triple, for Roy-Hart as Brown added 3 base raps and Maddie Fry, Katelin Corra and Delaney Draper 2 each.

Kylie Miller had a pair of hits for Barker.

Leading 7-4, Newfane outlasted host rival Wilson 6-1 over the last two innings to earn a 13-5 victory and improve to 2-0.

A three-run home run by Olivia Lttman in the sixth inning highlighted that late surge by the Lady Panthers. Littman also had a double on the day as winning pitcher Cassidy Geise added a triple.

Emily Muoio had a pair of hits including a triple and two RBIs for Wilson.
