Akron girls post key soccer win over Roy-Hart

A pair of first half goals proved to be enough as Akron downed host Roy-Hart 2-1 this evening to take over sole possession of the Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer lead.

Gracie Leiker and Ella Liss scored the first half goals for Akron while Kaitlin Mettler scored on a penalty kick for Roy-Hart with 17 seconds to go in the second half.

Akron improves to 3-0 and Roy-Hart slips to 2-1-1.

Newfane 5, Albion 2
Newfane downed Albion 5-2 to improve to 2-1 in N-O action.

Anna Chunco scored 3 goals for Newfane as Journee Hughey and Sienna Allen each netted 1,

Cami London scored both goals for Albion off assists from Ava Woolston and Shayla Higgins.

Wilson 13, Medina 0
Wilson improved to 2-0-1 in N-O action with a 13-0 win over host Medina.
