Akron dominates at All-League golf tourney

Akron’s trio of, from left, Thunder Hallett, Cam Wild and Aiden Romesser, captured the top three spots at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League golf tournament at Willowbrook today to lead the Tigers to the team title.

Undefeated (12-0) regular season champion Akron dominated the competition at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League golf tournament held at Willowbrook today.

In addition to capturing the tournament’s team title, Akron had the top three individual place finishers. Cam Wild, who earned N-O Player of the Year honors, was medalist with an 80 as Thunder Hallett shot 81 and Aiden Romesser 86.

Akron’s Brodie Hill, Medina’s Cam Fike and Wilson’s Ben Meyers all shot 87 as Roy-Hart’s Gavin Heideman and Newfane’s Caleb Rivera both carded rounds of 89.

Roy-Hart finished second and Medina third in the final league standings.

The annual N-O League team, which is based on season long match scores, includes Wild, Hill and Hallett from Akron, Fike and Culver from Medina, Meyers from Wilson and Rivera from Newfane.
