Akron completes win over Medina; R-H rolls
Staying unbeaten at 4-0, Akron completed an 8-6 victory over Medina at Vets Park this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League baseball game that had been halted by rain and thunder in the fifth inning on Monday evening.
Akron pitcher Jack Klodzinski gave up 2 hits and struck out 4 over the final three innings this evening.
Medina hurler Aidan Paul allowed no hits and struck out 4 in his two and one-third innings on the mound.
The Mustangs did score once in the fifth as Brody Fry doubled and came home on a single by Hayden Woodroe and once in the seventh on an error but left runners stranded in each of the final three frames which were played in a light rain.
Medina, which visits Akron in a rematch on Wednesday, is now 2-1 in N-O action.
Roy-Hart 8, Wilson 0
Thomas Russo allowed 3 hits and struck out 18 in six and two-thirds innings on the mound to lead Roy-Hart past Wilson 8-0.
John Conley had 3 hits and Ethan Kuzma 2 to pace the Rams at the plate. Ryan Mettler, Brayden Hy and Jake Gould each chipped in with one.
Roy-Hart, which broke the game open with 4 runs in the second inning and 2 more in the third, is now 2-0 and Wilson 2-3 in the league.
Kendall 24, Holley 0
Louis Conte had 3 hits as Reuben Marquess, Colby Hughes, Jorden Ostrander,and Nate Shaw each had 2 to lead Kendall to a 24-0 Genesee Region League win over rival Holley.
In a non league game, Notre Dame blanked host Albion 12-0.
