MEDINA – To wrap up the school year, Absolut Care of Gasport hosted a send-off party to the Health Occupations Technician (HOT) students and their teachers Mrs. Courtney Slack, BSN, RN and Mrs. Rebecca Mahar-Price, BSN, RN from the Orleans Career and Technical Education Center.

As a sign of gratitude for allowing them to conduct their clinical studies there, Mrs. Slack, and Dr. Michael Weyrauch (Director of Career and Technical Education/Adult Education and Instructional Services) honored the facility for being an Excellent Academic Partner to the program.

Director of Nursing, Pam Ebling, Administrator Kevin Kennedy, and Human Resources Director Stephen Wagner accepted the award on behalf of the facility. Mrs. Slack and Mrs. Price say they are so appreciative of everyone at Absolut, including the residents and all the staff members in every department, especially the nurses and nurses’ aides.

“We had a successful clinical experience and truly look forward to coming back in the fall with our next group of senior HOT students,” said Mrs. Slack and Mrs. Price.
