Photos by Cheryl Wertman – The weatherman cooperated with the temperature around 30 and very light snow as some 375 runners from all around Western New York took part in the 28th annual Mr. Ed’s 5K Superbowl Sunday race this morning. Jacob Osswald from Buffalo was the overall winner while Kimberly Mills of Bason was the first female finisher. Here a large group of the runners heads up Mill Street just before the turn onto Carmen Road.

The American flag waves proudly held by one of the runners as the large field moves onto Carmen Road just before the turn onto Townline Road. Proceeds from the race goes to the Mr. Ed’s Scholarship Fund which benefits current and former Roy-Hart students.
