Photos by Cheryl Wertman – A large crowd was on hand for the Albion softball team’s first “Strike Out Cancer” benefit game as rival Medina provided the opposition. Here Albion captains Leah Pritchard, Aly Knaak and Kenzi Hapeman display the special t-shits the Purple Eagles wore during pregame warmups.

Shown here is a portion of the large crowd. The pre game ceremonies had players and those in the crowd display cards with the names of those they are “Going To Bat For” who are cancer survivors, those battling cancer and those who have passed away due to cancer. Donations were also collected which will be given to the Knights-Kaderli Memorial Fund which benefits Orleans residents and families who are battling cancer.
