A little break from intense heat next few days

After two days in the upper 80s, Orleans County will get a little break the next few days from the intense heat. There might also be some rain after several dry days.

Today is forecast for a high of 81 with a slight chance of showers between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.

Sunday is forecast to be partly sunny with a high near 77 and a slight chance of showers. Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 70, the Weather Service said.

Tuesday will be hot again with a high near 87. There is a chance for showers after 8 a.m. and it will be partly sunny.

The highs after that include 79 on Wednesday, 69 on Thursday and 72 on Friday.
