A hole-in one, league action at Hickory Ridge

Sue Miller, a longtime member and golfer at Hickory Ridge, experienced the thrill of a hole in one recently when she aced the 123 yard par 3 third hole. She was so excited she neglected to report what club she used.

The Tuesday Ladies Night Out League wrapped up their season this week.

Deb Wood shot low gross with a 38 followed by her partner Aleta Martin who shot a 45. Kathy Babbit had low gross with a 36. She had a trio of golfers close as Vicki Brawn, Linda Chrzan and Patty Pfister all had grossed 38.

Heading into then position round, Wood and Martin lead with 111 points. Chrzan and Laurie Freeman are in second with 106.5. Third place was held by Marcia Zambito and Margie Page with 103.5.

As has been the tradition, final standings will not be revealed until the league banquet on September 20.

Thursday Men’s Traveling League is wrapping up their season.

Jake Cotter and Tyler Root are locked in first place with 318 points. Dave Cotter and Randy Knaak hold second with 292 points and Adam Dresser and Barry Flansberg are in third with 278 points.

Low gross on the night was Wes Bedford with a 41. John Foos had low net with a 28. Guy Eaton, Dresser, Jeff Hillabush, Gabe Nagy and Cedrik Soria all recorded birdies.
