Albion netters blank Barker
Improving to 2-1, Albion shutout host Barker 5 1/2-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.
The Purple Eagles got wins from the singles trio of Matt Kovaleski, Carson Bader and Josh Riley and from the doubles teams of Matt Rowcliffe-Chase Froman, Katelynn Spierdowis-Andrew Caldwell and Josh DePoty-Zack Kilner.
Defending champion Akron stayed perfect at 4-0 by downing Wilson 5-1/2 as Nate Chubb, Will Chubb and Morgan Wdowka all scored singles wins for the Tigers.
In an N-O makeup match, Roy-Hart defeated Newfane 4 1/2-1.
Collin Dodge won at second singles and Dom Pericciny at third singles for Roy-Hart which also swept the three doubles matches with the duos of Michael and Jason Kuchey, Aspen Moore-Kayla Hagen and Jordyn Bobzein-Evan Dodge.
James Leibring won at first singles for Newfane.
In a Genesee Region League match, Attica defeated Holley 4-1. Cheyan Palmer won at second singles for the Hawks.

Barker, Akron split
The Barker boys defeated visiting Akron 75-66 to improve to 2-0 while the Akron girls claimed an 89-52 victory over the Lady Raiders.
Josh Weakland doubled in the 110 Hurdles and 100 and Steve Class in the 3200 and High Jump for the Barker boys as did Brice McClaine in the 400 and Triple Jump for Akron..
Hailey Hall was a triple winner in the 100 Hurdles, 100 and 200 for the Akron girls as Kayla Murray doubled in the 1500 and 3000.
Shelby Ewald doubled for Barker in the Shotput and Discus
Newfane downs Roy-Hart
Host Newfane swept Roy-Hart 86-55 in the boys’ meet and 103-41 in the girls competition.
Newfane had a pair of triple winners in Reese Cassinelli (110 Hurdles, 400 hurdles, 200) and Kim Goerss (800, 1500, 3000).
Ozzy Moore was a double winner in the 1600 and 3200 for the Roy-Hart boys which also had Jacob Fritten win the Pole Vault, Ethan Lindke the Triple Jump, Will Rickard the High Jump and Mark Sanders the 100.
