Winter weather advisory issued for Orleans, WNY on Monday

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a winter weather advisory on Monday for Orleans County and Western New York.

The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with mixed precipitation – periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain – expected and some ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an ice.

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the Weather Service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.”

Monday is forecast for a high of 36. The highs for the rest of the week include 47 on Tuesday, 34 on Wednesday, 24 on Thursday, 21 on Friday and 27 on Saturday.
