Orleans Hub topped 8 million pageviews for the third year in a row in 2018.

The online news publication had 8,467,818 pageviews in 2018, which was down about 1 percent from the 8,553,605 pageviews in 2017. We had 8,334,946 in 2016.

Ginny Kropf joined the Orleans Hub as a correspondent last year. She is pictured in May in downtown Medina.

Orleans Hub went live on April 1, 2013. We had 1,697,887 pageviews for nine months in 2013 and then 5,267,498 pageviews in 2014. In 2015, we jumped to 7,811,345 pageviews.

September was the biggest month with 780,053 pageviews or a 26,002 daily average. The daily pageview average for the year was 23,200.

Last year we posted about 3,600 articles, an average of almost 10 each day throughout the year.

We also had a daily average of 7,463 users. For the first time we were over a 7,000 daily average for each of the 12 months. April was the biggest month with a daily average of 8,023 users.

When we started the Hub in April 2013, we set a goal of 3,000 daily users for an average. That was about the combined circulation in Orleans County for the former The Journal-Register in Medina and The Daily News in Batavia.

Our first nine months in 2013 we averaged 2,100 unique daily visitors. That jumped to 4,700 in 2014 and reached a 6,739 average in 2015. In 2016, we were up to a 7,112 daily average. In 2017, we were up 7,884, which is the record after 7,463 this year.

The Hub operates out of The Lake Country Pennysaver in Albion. We have an office at the Pennysaver building, 170 North Main St.
