The Tri County Midget hockey team rallied for three goals in the final six minutes to earn a 3-3 tie with host Canandaigua Saturday.

James Hapeman, Max Hapeman and Patrick Ricker each scored a goal during that rally. Ricker’s game winner came with just 59 seconds to go.

Keeping the momentum, Tri County posted an 8-4 victory over Perinton today.

Tri County jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead on goals by John Pilon, Ricker and James Hapeman.

Two more goals by Pilon, along with one each by Ricker and Josh Gimeli, upped the advantage to 7-1 after two periods.

Perinton did cut the deficit to 7-4 in the third period with a lightning quick burst of three goals in 14 seconds but would get no closer.

A goal by Ian McGraw rounded out the Tri County scoring.

Tri County is now 7-0-2 in the league and 8-0-2 overall.
