Medina youth gridders take 3 from Akron
Medina took all three games from host Akron Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action. The Colts won 47-8, the Broncos 14-0 and the Stallions 19-0.
In the Colts game, quarterback Preston Woodworth had 4 touchdowns including 3 rushing (147 yards) and 1 receiving (40 yards) totaling 187 yards on the day. Elijah Doxey and Jayzon Wills also scored rushing touchdowns and Mackoy Hall passed for a TD.
On defense, Doxey had 7 tackles, Wills and Hadrian Batista 6, Hall 4 and Sawyer Lilleby 2 interceptions.
No details were reported from the Broncos game.
In the Stallions contest, Amari Soule scored 2 touchdowns and Trenton Muck 1 as Aiden Pitts added an extra point run.
Defensively, Kaiden Buondono had 7 tackles, Cayden Lilleby 6, Muck 5 and a sack and Kaedon Cleveland an interception.
