Vietnam War vet’s wife appreciates his care from VA
Editor:
On the first anniversary of the passing of my husband, James C. Dawson III, who was a proud Vietnam Combat Veteran, I would like to express my gratitude to the Batavia and Buffalo VA Medical Center for their wonderful medical care my husband received from both facilities.
Never once was he denied service, or had to wait for an appointment. On the contrary, they always called us, as reminders, and he very much looked forward to his appointments. Every department, from medical, OT, PT, lab, dental, vision, were completely caring, compassionate and respectful. They knew him by name, and he felt comfortable and familiar with all staff members.
Thank you to Home Based Primary Care staff, who came to our house to care for him when travel became difficult. You were my angels!
Lastly, thanks to Earl Schmidt and the Orleans County Veterans Service Agency. You were there every step of the way in coordinating and making our way easier, always just a phone call away! Thank you all.
