Albion posts U18 soccer shutout road win
Albion blanked host Rush-Henrietta 4-0 Thursday evening to improve to 4-1-1 in Rochester District Youth Soccer League girls U18 Division competition.
Ali Knaak and Sam Howes shared in earning the shutout in goal as the quartet of Sarah Gregori, Paige Derisley, Abbie Pappalardo and Quinn McCue anchored the defense.
Albion built up a 2-0 first half lead as Lexi Wolck scored on a header off a corner kick by Mariah Plain and then Plain tallied on a direct kick.
Brylie Hapeman then put a lock on the win by scoring a pair of second half goals off assists first from Gregori and then from Abi Scanlan.
