Banes romps to 4th softball victory
Scoring six quick runs in the first inning, Banes Machine Shop/Banes Plumbing went on to defeat NYSCOBA 22-6 Monday in a Medina Women’s Softball League game.
Connie Heschke, Jami Chatt, Robin Blaun, Amy Allis, Grace Masse, Patti Page and Hannah LaGrou all contributed singles to the big opening frame outburst as Banes improves to 4-0.
Banes later put a firm lock on the win by exploding for 11 runs in the fourth inning. Chatt had a double and single, Kathy Allen a double and Masse 2 singles during the uprising which also included singles by Allis, Masse, Sarah Surdel, Page, LaGrou, Heschke and Sue Seefeldt.
Chatt went 4 for 4 on the evening while Masse, Allis, Surdel and Page were all 3 for 3.
