Holley trims Northstar in 8 innings

Holley pushed across a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to nip visiting Northstar 6-5 this afternoon in a non league game as  the Hawks regain the .500 mark at 7-7.

Matt Skehan singled in Erick Balys with the winning run for Holley. Balys reached on a single  and advanced into scoring position on an error.

Skehan, Patrick Bower, Brandon Dillenbeck and Michael Passarell each had a pair of hits for the Hawks. Bower’s hits included a double.

In another G-R contest, Notre Dame shutout Kendall 6-0.

Wilson 7, Newfane 4
Wilson trimmed rival Newfane 7-4 this afternoon to finish the Niagara-Orleans League baseball season at 6-6.

John Bender banged out a three-run double to highlight the Wilson offense as Ian Evans added 2 hits, including a double, and Nate Fox 2 hits.

Newfane finishes the N-O season at 2-10.
