Albion and Roy-Hart track teams split
Photos by Tom Rivers – Roy-Hart’s Anna Rickard was a triple winner in the 800, 1500 and 3000 and Albion’s Bril Johnson doubled in the 100 and 200 during this afternoon’s meet at Albion.
Both teams came away with a victory as Albion hosted Roy-Hart this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet.
Albion won the boys’ meet 103-36 and Roy-Hart took the girls’ competition 74-66.
Tre Yaskulski was a triple winner in the 110 Hurdles, High Jump and Triple Jump and Bril Johnson doubled in the 100 and 2oo to lead the way for the Albion boys squad.
The Purple Eagles also got wins from Anthony Freeman (400 Hurdles), Kirk Ellison (Shotput), Nick Perry (Discus), Nate Moore (Long Jump) and Preston Flugel (Pole Vault).
Will Rickard doubled in the 400 and 800 and Ozzy Moore in the 1600 and 3200 for Roy-Hart.
Albion is now 3-2 and Roy-Hart 2-4.
Anna Rickard was a triple winner in the 800, 1500 and 3000 to set the pace for the Roy-Hart girls which also got wins from Justine Laverty (100 Hurdles), Nadia White (400), Kelsey Ciemny (400 Hurdles), Ellie Todd (200), Mackenzie White (Triple Jump) and Kali Scharping (High Jump).
Claire Squicciarini won the 100 and Honesty Little the Long Jump for Albion.
Roy-Hart is now 2-4 and Albion 1-3.
Newfane sweeps Barker
The Newfane boys defeated Barker 106-35 in a key N-O battle of unbeatens as Reese Casinelli doubled in the 100 and 200 and Andrew Boudeman in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
Ian DiLorenzo doubled for Barker in the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles.
Newfane stays perfect at 5-0 and Barker slips to 4-1.
Newfane completed the sweep by winning the girls meet 92-49 as Nadet Shorter doubled in the 100 and 200, Kim Goerss in the 1500 and 3000 and Emily Foltz in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
Newfane stays unbeaten at 5-0 and Barker falls to 3-2.
