On Wednesday the Griff’s defeated number 1 ranked Quinnipiac in an OT game.  Then, on Friday afternoon they defeated number 2 seed Detroit Mercy again in another OT game for the title.  This is the third MAAC Championship for the Canisius  (2008,2012). On Wednesday at 4 p.m. they will host their first ever NCAA Division1 lacrosse tourney game facing Robert Morris. This is the Griffs’ third tourney appearance but their first ever hosting of a game. The winner of that game will play at top ranked ranked Maryland on Sunday.
