Medina, Albion, R-H post N-O softball wins

Improving to 6-1 Medina blanked Barker 17-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park.

Cora Payne hurled a one hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead the way for Medina. She also helped herself at the plate by banging out a two-run double.

Ryenn Oliver and Morgan Allis both had a pair of hits for the Mustangs.

Albion 21, Newfane 0
Natalie DiCureia and Brylie Hapeman both banged out 4 hits and Lexi Wolck and Janae Doty had 3 to help power Albion past Newfane 21-0.

Doty had a home run and a total of 5 RBIs, Wolck a home run and DiCureia a triple and 4 RBIs.

In the circle, Erin Doty hurled a 2 hitter with 1 strikeout.

Albion is now 3-4 and Newfane 0-7

Roy-Hart 22, Wilson 4
Staying undefeated at 8-0, Roy-Hart downed Wilson 22-4 as Mallory Steiner struck out 14 in the circle and drove in 5 runs at the plate.

Maddie Fry and Kayla Brown both had 4 hits for the Lady Rams and Jayden Townsend 3 including a pair of doubles.

The loss drops Wilson to 3-2.
