Roy-Hart, Akron netters score N-O wins
Roy-Hart defeated Newfane 4-1 1/2 this afternoon to improve to 3-1 in Niagara-Orleans League tennis competition.
Wins by Patrick Sheelar at first singles and Madigan Lang at third singles led the way for Roy-Hart.
The Rams also took the first two doubles matches on wins by the duos of Cameron VanBuren-Noah Kindron and Mason Collins-Caleb Reith.
Newfane’s James Leibring won at second singles. Now at 1-5, the Panthers also took the third doubles with the duo of Nate Everett-Ben Pusateri.
In the day’s other match, Akron improved to 4-0 with a 3 1/2-2 win over Wilson (0-3).
Nate Chubb won at first singles and Morgan Wdowka at third singles to set the pace for Akron.
The Tigers took the second doubles match with Maggie Leeds and Harry Fitzgerald.
Wilson, won at second singles with Kyle Lyon and at first doubles with Jacob Hecko and Nate Jaques.
