Lady Rams post key win over Mustangs
In a key early season Niagara-Orleans matchup of two of last year’s league tri-champions, Roy-Hart blanked Medina 4-0 under the lights at chilly Vets Park this evening.
A three run first inning scoring burst provided more than enough offense for Roy-Hart as it turned out.
A two-run single by Maddy Glena and an RBI single by Kayla Brown keyed that decisive uprising which was ignited by singles by Maddie Fry and Lexie Lovewell.
Mallory Steiner picked up the win in the circle giving up 3 hits and striking out 9.
Medina got two runners aboard in the fifth inning after a single by Morgan Allis and a walk but could not capitalize.
Again the the sixth inning the Mustangs got runners to second and third after a single by Alisha Scroger and a walk but again could not score.
Roy-Hart stays perfect at 4-0 while Medina slips to 2-1.
The Wilson vs. Albion game was postponed as was the Pembroke vs. Lyndonville Genesee Region League game.
