Semis next for R-H/Barker/Medina icers
The No. 2 seeded Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club hockey team will face No. 3 seed Dunkirk/Fredonia this weekend in a two game semifinal round playoff series.
Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina will host Dunkirk/Fredonia at 5:15 p.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Arena in Lockport. The teams will then meet again at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at SUNY Fredonia.
The winner of the series will advance to the Mixed Schools Division championship game on February 23 at the Key Bank Arena in Buffalo.
Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina split with Dunkirk/Fredonia during the regular season, winning 7-3 at home and losing 4-2 on the road.
The other semifinal bracket will match top seeded Alden/Iroqois against No. 5 Jamestown/Souhwestern/Maple Grove which has a 16-1-1 record after competing in the Blue Division during the regular season.
The New York State Club Championship Series will be played in Jamestown on March 2-4.
