Wind advisory in effect for Orleans, much of WNY

A wind advisory is in effect for Orleans County and much of Western New York until 11 p.m. today.
The National Weather Service says there will be 25 to 35 mile-per-hour winds with gusts up to 50 mph for Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.
“The gusty winds may bring down a few small tree limbs and result in isolated power outages,” the Weather Service said. “Travel in high profile vehicles will be difficult at times.”
