3 kayakers are missing since noon in Lake Ontario

BARKER – Three kayakers have been missing since about noon today when they ventured into Lake Ontario after getting in the water at the boat launch at Golden Hill State Park, Buffalo media outlets are reporting.
The boat launch is near the Orleans-Niagara county line.
Several agencies are trying to locate the three kayakers, including the Coast Guard, Niagara County Sheriff’s Department, Somerset Police Department, the State Parks Police, and the Olcott and Barker fire departments, The Buffalo News is reporting.
The windy weather prevented agencies from sending up a helicopter to aid in the search.
