Lady Rams top Lady Raiders in N-O opener

Scoring twice in each half, Roy-Hart blanked Barker 4-0 this afternoon in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game at Gasport.

Meaghan Washington scored off an assist from Maddie Fry and Sophia LaPort tallied from Mia Quinn in the first half to give the Lady Rams a 2-0 lead.

Kylie Miller makes a save in goal for Barker as Kara Choate moves in for Roy-Hart.

LaPort and Kara Choate then each had a goal and an  assist in the second half to round out the Roy-Hart scoring.

Roy-Hart next hosts Pembroke in a non league game Wednesday while Barker visits Albion Friday in an N-O contest.

Akron 5, Albion 1
Jenna Robnett and Kara Sequin each had two goals and an assist and Maggie Leeds a goal and two assists for Akron in the 5-0 N-O opening win over visiting Albion.

The Lady Tigers held a 3-0 lead  at the half.

Brylie Hapeman scored for Albion off an assist from Claire Squicciarini.

Akron next hosts Medina/Lyndonville and Albion entertains Barker at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
