Lady Rams look for rebound soccer season
Taking aim at rebounding from a 3-9 league record last fall, the Roy-Hart girls varsity soccer team returns a large veteran group heading into Tuesday’s Niagara-Orleans home opener against Barker.
Senior defender Kayla Brown and junior midfielder Maddie Fry, who both earned second team N-O All-League honors, and senior midfielder Ellie Todd, an Honorable Mention selection, head the Lady Rams veteran contingent which also includes seniors Sophia LaPort, Josephine Capen and Maddy Glena; juniors Taylor Rhinehart, Emily Metz and Meghan Washington along with freshmen Christina DiBenedetto, May Quinn and Clara Jones.
The Lady Rams youthful squad is also looking to freshmen McKenzie White and Hanna Willard along with eighth graders Kara Choate and Reanna Perkins.
“We’ve got a young team but we’ve got a lot of good returning kids and a lot of good young talent,” said Coach Rich Jennings.
