N-O players earn All-WNY softball honors

A total of five Niagara-Orleans League players have been named to the All-Western New York small schools softball squad.

Medina pitcher Emily Kams and Newfane catcher Olivia Littman, who are both June graduates, have earned first team honors as has Akron catcher Abby Stone, who will be a senior this fall.

In addition, Medina shortstop Alisha Scroger and Roy-Hart shortstop Kayla Brown, who will both be seniors this fall, have earned Honorable Mention.

Kams, who helped lead Medina to its first N-O title in 12 years and its first ever Section VI championship, registered 154 strikeouts in the circle. At the plate she it .464 with 3 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 27 RBIs.

Stone hit .564 with 6 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 16 RBIs.

Scroger hit .600 with 9 doubles, 7 triples, 1 home run and 33 RBIs.

Brown hit .531 with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs and 27 RBIs.
