Medina grad sets Decathlon mark at Utica

Chase Pecoraro, a 2016 Medina High graduate, set a Utica College record in the Decathlon this past weekend at the NYSCTC championships held at Nazareth College.
Pecoraro, a freshman at Utica, set the record by scoring a total of 4,998 points. He placed fifth overall in the event.
Enrolled in the college’s Honor’s program, he is majoring in Health Studies and is aiming for a career in Physical Therapy.
He is the son of Cindy Denniston of Medina and Mike Pecoraro of Lockport.
