Two Albion High seniors, Kory Reynolds and Jared Hollinger, will be playing  in the annual Kensington Lions Club Western New York All-Star football game on July 26.

A third Albion senior, Tommy Mattison, was also selected but has a conflict and can not play.

Reynolds was a 3 year varsity starter at tight end and defensive end for Albion. He earned first team All-Division honors as both a junior and senior  and will most likely be attending Utica college and playing Football.

“Most teams found themselves defending Kory on both sides of the ball, his motor never goes off,” said former Albion Coach Gary Parisi who retired at the end of last season.

Likewise a 3 year varsity starter Hollinger was an All Division player at the offensive line. He will be attending St. John Fisher in the fall and will also play football. This fall he was voted to the All Western New York All Academic Team.

“Jared worked through some injuries but stayed strong to have a solid Junior and senior year,” said Parisi.

Mattison was a 3 year starter as well and was a first team All Division player in both his junior and senior years. He was the Offensive Player of the year in the B East Division and was Honorable Mention All WNY. He was also voted Third Team All State at RB. As of right now, he plans to attend a community college and play football but undecided yet where he will go.

“Tommy is working hard to get to a higher level of play. It’s a smart move for Tommy to do what he’s doing,” said Parisi.

“Jared, Kory and Tommy have many positive contributions to the football team.” said Parisi. “They all have played very hard for us and the Purple Eagle Nation is proud of them.”
