Roaring out to a commanding 9-0 lead in the first six minutes, Medina went on to romp past Salamanca 20-1 in a Class D Division lacrosse game this afternoon at Vets Park.
Coby Albone and Brendan Luthart both scored a pair of goals to lead that decisive early Medina scoring explosion which also included goals by Mason Lewis, Jake Cotter, Mike Carson, Christian Silversmith and DaRon Bellan.
The Mustangs advantage increased to 15-0 at the half as Cotter, Luthart, Albone, Bellan, Tim Roy and Ethan Leonard all took turns scoring second period goals.
In all a total of 11 players scored goals for the Mustangs which led 18-0 at the three-quarter mark after third period tallies by Silversmith, Bellan and Cotter.
Joe Gates and Chaise Prest then netted goals in the final period to round out the Medina scoring.
Improving to 5-2 in the division and 7-2 overall, Medina next visits Gowanda in another D Division contest Friday.
