Hawks quintet earns G-R All-Star honors

Rounding out the Hawks All-Star group are Colin Papaj (14) and Dalton Moyer (18).
Holley has placed five players on the annual Genesee Region League All-Star football team.
The Hawks are represented by the senior running back/linebacker duo of Zach Day and Colin Papaj along with junior quarterback/defensive back Jeremy Mallett, junior offensive/defensive lineman Glenn Thrower and sophomore wide receiver/defensive lineman Dalton Moyer.
Day had 468 yards rushing (5.8 average) and 4 touchdowns on offense as well as 93 tackles, including 61 solo and 8 for losses, and 4 sacks on defense.
Papaj rushed for a team leading 832 yards (7.0 ave.) and scored 6 touchdowns.
Mallett rushed for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns and also passed for 2 TDs. On defense, he made 41 tackles, including 22 solo, and had 2 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Thrower made 55 tackles, including 31 solo and 7 for losses.
Moyer was in on 53 tackles, including 33 solo and 5 for losses, and had 2 sacks.
