Jumping out to a quick lead and boosting the advantage to 3-0 before half-time, top seed Wheatland-Chili went on to defeat No. 5 Kendall 4-0 this evening in the Section V Class D1 girls soccer semifinals at Caledonia-Mumford.

W-C, which blanked Kendall by scores of 3-0 and 5-0 during the Genesee Region League season, scored just six minutes into the decisive opening half. Goals with 27 and 15 minutes to go then broke the contest wide open.

“They have a very good squad,” said Kendall Coach Pam Beres whose Lady Eagles finish the season at 13-6.

W-C advances to the D1 finials with a 16-1-1 record.
