Kendall grad earns Rookie of the Week honor

Kendall High graduate and Roberts Wesleyan College freshman Maya Rutland has been named the East Coast Conference women’s soccer Rookie of the Week.
Rutland had a goal and an assist in a win over Daeman and the winning goal in a victory over Caldwell last week. She now has a total of 3 goals on the season.
Rutland, a Biology major, helped lead Kendall to three Genesee Region League Division 1 and two Section V Class CC titles during her scholastic days. She scored a team leading 29 goals her senior year.
Roberts Wesleyan, which has a 9-3-2 overall record, is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division 1 poll.
