Albion will host defending champion Alden and Medina/Lyndonville will visit Lackawanna at 7 p.m. Friday in B East Division games.

Two non league contests on Saturday will have Holley at CG Finney and Barker/Roy-Hart at Notre Dame of Batavia at 1:30 p.m.

It will be the division opener for Albion which is looking to rebound from a narrow 26-25 interdivisional loss at Lew-Port. Sophomore quarterback Bryce Pritchard threw a pair of touchdown passes for the Purple Eagles

Alden opened B East competition with a 40-19 romp over perennial division rival Depew.

Alden holds a narrow 7-6 lead in the all-time series with Albion including a 20-7 victory last fall.

Medina/Lyndonville will be looking to keep the momentum from last Friday’s high scoring 56-24 B East win over Barker/Roy-Hart. Running backs Jake Cotter (3 touchdowns, 156 yards rushing) and Eric Neace (2 TDs, 123 yds.) sparked the Mustangs

Lackawanna holds a 5-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Mustangs which did win the last meeting 22-14 in overtime in 2007.

The Steelers are looking to bounce back from a 23-0 interdivisional loss to East Aurora/Holland.

Holley is likewise looking to keep the momentum from last Saturday’s 18-6 home field non league win over Nichols. Quarterback Jeremy Mallett and running back Zach Day both had rushing touchdowns for the Hawks which also got a field goal by Ryan Andrews.

Finney holds a 3-1 lead in the series against Holley including a 36-13 victory last fall.

Barker/Roy-Hart, which is also looking to rebound from the loss to the Mustangs, will be facing Notre Dame for the second time. Barker/Roy-Hart downed the Irish 44-15 in a Genesee Region League contest in 2011 which was the first year of the merged team.

Notre Dame was defeated by Alexander 45-15 in a G-R contest last weekend.
