Albion downs Holley in youth football

The Albion Mini Eagles turned in a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, rolling to a 32-0 shutout victory over Holley Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action..
Albion’s offense featured a balanced rushing attack led by Patrick Westlund, who carried for 91 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Weis added 65 yards and a score, while Elijah Cornick rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Lexington Pridgen added 21 rushing yards, Hudson Palmer had 19, Carter Hall contributed seven and Gunner Jackson added six.
Jackson also made an impact through the air, connecting with Westlund for two touchdown passes. Landon Stalker added two PAT conversions to round out the scoring.
The Mini Eagles were equally impressive defensively, keeping Holley off the scoreboard throughout the game.
Westlund and Jaxon Sloper led the defense with eight tackles apiece. Palmer, Jordan Button, Weis and Pridgen each recorded five tackles, while Drake Neri and Noah Button finished with three each. Cornick, Stalker, Wyatt Snyder, Colton Daggs, Artavion Lewis and Arlen Beecher each added two tackles. Zavier Richardson, Jaxon Francis, Hall, Jameson Wiesinger-Garvey, Kaydence Harper, Maximiano Rivera and Chaz Monacelli were also in on tackles.
Albion JV Eagles Top Holley, 33-13
Special teams provided a huge spark for the Albion JV Eagles as they picked up a 33-13 victory over Holley.
Albion’s special teams came up big in the first half, with Easton Hodgins and Kairo Bennett each returning kickoffs for touchdowns to help the Eagles take control of the game.
The Eagles also put together a strong rushing attack. Jayce Torres led the way with 90 yards and a touchdown. Cayden Farrell rushed for 31 yards, Jai’heem Drisdom added 24, Arkell Lewis had 10 yards and a touchdown, Conor Murphy added eight yards and Greyson Roberts chipped in four.
Farrell also made an impact through the air, connecting with Elijah Warren for a touchdown pass.
Defensively, Kaydence Russaw led the Eagles with 12 tackles. Bennett followed with 10 tackles to go along with his kickoff return touchdown, while Lewis recorded eight. Kyle Schomske finished with seven tackles, while Harrison Froman and Parker Gardner each recorded six. Kris Wilston-Jones and Farrell each had five tackles, Mason Cornick added four, and Kaynon Reamer and Zion Richardson finished with two apiece. Zeus Vallejo, Murphy, Drisdom, Warren, Tyler Patten, Larry Thayer and Torres were also in on tackles for the Eagles.
