Newfane downed Medina in straight sets 25-19, 25-19, 25-18 in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match at Medina.
Caliyah St. Louis had 4 aces and 4 kills, Jenna Cecchini 2 aces and 2 kills, Maya Anderson 2 kills and 1 ace and Maddy Watts 1 ace for Medina.
Roy-Hart d. Albion
Roy-Hart opened defense of its N-O volleyball title with a 27-25, 25-18, 25-20 win over visiting Albion.
Lauren Snyder had 13 kills and 5 aces to lead Roy-Hart as Zoe Healey and Tessa Degenhardt both had 4 kills and Ava Flynn 17 assists.
Melia Prince had 7 kills, Charlotte Pike 11 assists and Katelyn Viza 4 digs for Albion.
