Medina food pantry closed today due to flooding in basement
MEDINA – The Medina emergency food pantry will be closed today due to flooding in the basement.
“We have some water in the food pantry area as well as other parts of the church basement,” said Michelle Capstick of the food pantry. “All the food is safe but the floors are wet.”
The food pantry is at St. Peter Lutheran Church on West Avenue. The pantry is usually open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Medina was hit with two powerful storms on Wednesday, in the morning and then the evening that are requiring some cleanup at the church.
