Tornado watch in effect for Orleans, WNY until 11 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Orleans County, Western New York and much of upstate until 11 p.m.
“Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms with periods of heavy rainfall are expected today through tonight,” the Weather Service said. “Some storms may be severe with damaging wind gusts and hail, respectively. A tornado or two and localized flash flooding are possible.”
