Merged Roy-Hart/Medina girls varsity soccer team preps for first N-O League season

Finishing in the runner-up spot last fall the now merged Roy-Hart/Medina girls soccer team returns a good nucleus with which to again challenge for top Niagara-Orleans League honors.
Low participation numbers over the last couple of years has caused Medina to join with Roy-Hart.
Roy-Hart’s veteran group is led by a quartet of N-O All-League honorees including seniors Maria Trombley, who was a first team honoree and goalie Courtney Aquilina who was a second team selection along with juniors forward Ruth Walker who earned first team honors and Josephine Silsby who was an Honorable Mention pick.
The Lady Rms returnees also include seniors Maizie Cilliberto, Kenney Boyle and Addison Carr along with junior Julia Verratti.
Medina’s group is led by seniors Lilly Maynard and Alexa Demmer.
Roy-Hart/Medina will open the season by competing in the Tonawanda Tournament this Friday and Saturday facing the host school in the first round. The Lady Rams will then open the N-O season at home against Akron on September 9.
