OC Rivals wrap up summer camp sessions
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – The fledgling Albion/Medina OC Rivals football team wrapped up its summer series of camp sessions this past week. Here Elijah Doxey, left, hauls in a pass while Jackson Snook works on a tackling drill under the watchful eye of Coach Ocie Bennett. The camps, which were held at both Albion and Medina, were a tune-up for the three weeks of fall preseason practices which begin on Monday. The Rivals will host a scrimmage on August 29 and then open the season on September 3 at Akron on the Tigers new turf field. Practices for the other fall high school sports including boys and girls soccer, field hockey, volleyball, cross country and golf will begin on August 24.
