Severe thunderstorm warning for southwestern Orleans until 8:30 a.m.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 8:30 this morning for southwestern Orleans County, Genesee County, northwestern Wyoming County, northeastern Erie County and southern Niagara County.
Severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Grand Island to near Cheektowaga to Billington Heights, moving east at 35 mph, the Weather Service said.
The storm has 60 mph wind gusts that could damage roofs, siding and trees.
