Albion sweeps Barker in N-O track

Albion scored a sweep over host Barker in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet this afternoon.
The Purple Eagles won the boys’ meet 80-51 and the girls’ competition 73-64.
A win in the 1600 relay by the foursome of Hannah Olles, Brianna Lewis, Mia Standish and Aubrey Bruning locked up the win for the Albion girls squad which is now 2-1.
Standish was also an individual event double winner in the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles.
Hunter Huscher was a double winner in the 100 and 200 for the defending champion Albion boys team which improves to 3-0.
Roy-Hart, Wilson split
Roy-Hart won the girls’ meet 74-62 and Wilson took the boys’ competition 79-56.
Julie Rohde was a triple winner for the Roy-Hart girls in the 800, 1500 and 3000 as Addison Carr doubled in the 100 and 400 and Kylie McOmber in the 100 Hurdles and Triple Jump.
Bella Thrush doubled for Wilson in the 200 and Long Jump.
In the boys’ meet, Wilson’s Ryan Hough was a quadruple winner in the 100, 200, Long Jump and 110 Hurdles and Brock Lepsch a triple winner in the Shotput, Discus and High Jump.
Newfane Akron split
Newfane won the boys meet 92-48 and Akron the girls’ competition 108-33. 92-48
Treagan MacEvoy was a triple winner for the Newfane boys in the 800, 1500 and 3000.
Eden Hillman was a quadruple winner for the Newfane girls in the 1500, 3000, 400 Hurdles and Pole Vault.
Akron’s Madigan Regan was a triple winner in the 100, 200 and 400 as Kylie Karmazyn doubled in the 100 Hurdles and High Jump.

Blake Carnes of Barker took first place in the 400 meter hurdles today, edging Jaxon Lynch of Albion who was second.

Logan Wagner of Barker finished just ahead of Tristian Tilbe of Albion for first place in the 800 meter race today in Barker.
