Akron and Barker score N-O field hockey wins
Defending champion Akron and Barker both scored wins this afternoon to remain 1-2 in the Niagara-Orleans League field hockey title race.
Akron stayed undefeated at 6-0 with a 2-0 win over visiting Medina which slips to 3-4 as Brooklyn Gerstung scored both goals.
Barker improved to 5-1 with a 4-2 win over Wilson which is now 2-5.
Madelina Pavlock scored two goals for Barker as Ella Gancasz and Sophia Gerhardt each had one.
Ruby Narehood and Brynn Lepsch scored the goals for Wilson.
In the other N-O game, Roy-Hart avenged an early season 3-2 loss by defeating host Kenmore 7-4 this evening.
Brooke Zglinicki had three goals, Adella Dukes two and Savannah Newton and Violette Streckewald one each for the Lady Rams.
Both teams are now 3-3 in N-O action.
