Youth football season opening action at Lyndonville and Albion
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Weathering high temperatures, local youth football competition got off to a hot start today with teams from a dozen area communities competing in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action. Here Preston Rath picks up yardage for the Lyndonville Cubs during this morning’s Beginners Division game against visiting Attica.
Here Albion’s Elian Almonte breaks loose for a long touchdown run during this afternoon’s Mini Division contest against visiting LeRoy. Next Saturday Albion will visit Lyndonville. Today’s other NOFA openers have Holley at Newfane, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba at Batavia, Tri Town at Pembroke and Akron at Roy-Hart/Barker.
